From first impression, he's usually seen as an aggressive, underachiever who gets in to fights with the infamous, Urameshi, Yuusuke of his middle school.

Kuwabara was the kind of guy that liked to handle his problem with his fists. He was a hot headed middle scholar, who was seen starting fights with Yusuke Urameshi. He wasn’t the smartest kid on the block, and almost always got failing grades. At times, he did get failing grades. Kuwabara was a rash idiot who didn't think before he acted. He wanted to punch somebody's face in then he would do it. Sometimes he had good reasons for what he did, and sometimes he did it because it was the first thing that came to mind. He often never thought about his actions before he performed them. They usually led him into a corner, or he would get beaten for it. He's got a short fume, and he was easily set off by insults, or any form of prudish behaviour against him. With that aside, he was also a generous and kind teenager. Besides being a punk looking man, with a bad Elvis Presley hair do, he actually cared about the people around him. These people were usually his friends and family. Kuwabara would go through whatever necessary pain, broken bones and bloody sweat in order to protect what was important to him. His loyalties knew no bounds. He was the type of guy who would gladly sacrifice himself to defend all that was good and righteous, even if it sounded corny and stupid.

He was the kind of guy that let his emotions decide for him. He would rather think with his actions, rather than his brain and throughout the series, he's proved that his emotions could surpass any form of pain. His will power alone made him a difficult opponent to take down. Risho had a hard time trying to win against Kuwabara, when he decided he wanted to show off to Yukina. Kuwabara was charged with the ‘power of love,’ and ended up being able to summon his spirit sword, and sending Risho flying. Kuwabara secured a win for Team Urameshi then.

Kuwbara loved his world, and he would do anything to protect it. In the Yu Yu Hakusho series, there were three worlds that were mentioned. One being Ningenkai, the Human World, Reikai, the Spirit World, and Makai, the Demon World. These worlds co-existed with one another, but in human world, humans were not aware of the existence of Demon World. The only way someone would be aware of these worlds, would be those who have a spiritual sensitivity. Sometimes in Reikai there would be missions sent out to Yusuke and Kuwabara would do what he could to help Yusuke protect the human world from invading demons, or people who wanted to destroy it. Kuwabara lived by his righteousness and often didn't see things in the gray area. Kuwabara lived by codes and morals, such as not fighting girls. He didn't care if they were his enemy, or if they were demons. Kuwbara refused to fight girls, and refused to hurt them in any way or form. He wanted to be the ideal gentleman, so that meant being delicate and protective of all the girls. Yusuke and many of his friends did not approve of his ways, but Kuwabara was too stubborn to be stopped. No matter what anyone had to say, he refused to hurt girls. He often yelled at Yusuke for hitting girls casually, and doing perverted things.

Kuwbara also valued his comradeship with Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei. They had been through a lot together as a team, and no matter what, he would have their back. He wouldn’t abandon them, and would sacrifice himself for their safety. Kuwabara was the weaker link of the team, but he had his own ways of being useful. He did what he could to be on the same level with his friends. He didn’t want to fall behind. Even during the Makai Tournament, Kuwabara trained in secret, while working his way through high school applications.

Yusuke was someone that was very important to him and vice versa. Yusuke was like his brother in arms. Kuwabara wouldn’t stop at anything to protect Yusuke, just like Yusuke would punch a guy in the face for Kuwabara. Their friendship was that deep. Kuwabra was often beaten by Yusuke in the past and was also his punching bag, but it developed a friendship that neither party could break from. It was shown most during the Sensui Saga, when Kuwbara awakened to his dimension cutting ability based on his strong feelings to protect Yusuke. Kuwbara injured Itsuki and sliced through the barrier he had created to get to Yusuke. He cried when Yusuke died a second time, and took Sensui straight to Makai. There, he struggled with Kurama and Hiei to defeat Sensui, whose power surpassed the three of them joined together. Their relationship was unique and worked purely on their emotions and trust for one another. Kuwbara would always have Yusuke’s back no matter what.

Kuwbara had also shown that he was quite in love with Yukina, Hiei’s younger twin sister. Yukina always quite ignorant of his pick-up lines, and often nodded and smiled at him as if she truly understood his antics. Kuwabara’s unrequited love for Yukina knew no bounds. She was the source of his energy and his happiness. Yukina was a delicate and gentle ice demon, and Kuwabara would always find ways to protect her from harm. He might not be good at it most of the time, but he tried. Hiei often did the work for him. Kuwbara also didn’t know that Yukina was Hiei’s sister. If he knew, he probably wouldn’t be so bold about his pick-up lines. He did hope that one day Yukina would return his love confessions and his feelings. Kuwbara would be the happiest man if that were to happen.

Kuwabara was easy going and enjoys a good fair fight. He would be against all forms of fights that people took cheap shots on. He was righteous and his emotions of justice drove him to do things that not many people could do. He was capable of surviving near death fights, and even fights that were clearly not in his favour. Kuwabara cherished his friends a lot, so he would do anything for them if he could. That included Hiei, even though they occasionally fought over small matters. Kuwabara is also kind of a flirt, but clearly not many were after his looks. When he attended high school, he had a bad feeling that something was going to happen, and it did. After that, he gained much respect from the female population. Kuwabara cared about school as well. He never once stopped studying hard when his friends were in Makai. He kept fighting on, so he could go to a prestigious high school in which he succeeded getting into.

Shizuru, his older sister was a huge maternal and parental figure to him. Despite kicking his butt on a daily basis, she cared about her baby brother and forced him to better himself, so he could make a better life for his future. She didn’t want him to be the way she was.

There is one more important thing about Kuwabara that makes him different from his companions. He had an unhealthy love for cats, and he even owned one. He once got on his knees and begged so that his cat would not be injured. He could go through any form of hell or beating for cats, especially his. If his cat were ever injured in any way or form, he would probably lash out and beat someone up for it. His cat means a lot to him and that was something he’ll never stop caring about. Kuwabara was also moralistic, and his virtues could never be overwritten. He did not fight girls. He refused to fight them, and would throw a fit if anyone were to fight a girl if they were male. He respected women and would not like to harm them in any way or form. That also went to enemies. He didn’t believe in hurting girls and he also yelled at Yusuke for beating up one of their female opponents to a bloody pulp. Unfortunately for him, the female turned out to be a male according to Yusuke.

He was also very loyal to his regular friends, Sawamura, Kirishima, and Okubo. They were his buddies and he would do anything to keep them safe and unharmed. He's quite empathetic of others and as mentioned does put himself in great danger for others. He likes a group called Megallica. He had ditched Yuusuke when they were trying to figure out a mission during the Sensui Saga to go see them himself. It angered Yuusuke but Kuwabara also had his own priorities.

Questions/Comments/Concerns:
What are rules on Dimesnion breaking swords, AKA Kuwabara's Jigen Tou or Dimension Sword? It pretty much slices through dimensions and Kuwabara can use it get them out of territories etc.I can provide more info if needed

And can Kuwabara have his cat Eikichi with him? :D?

Also he's coming from the same previous game as Yusuke. The only difference from his canon self is that he knows how to cook and he's a little stronger than he was when he first ended up in that place. Kuwabara also does some house cleaning from time to time and has an even stronger sense of justice than he was at home due to the nature of Vatheon. On top of that, Vatheon change him too badly but these are the few things that he is a little different from the canon Kuwbara.
